Coral Restoration takes new depths with Reef Restoration Foundation x TUSA.

TUSA has partnered with the Reef Restoration Foundation, headquartered on Fitzroy Island in Australia to help resolve the crises facing coral reefs. By donating gear, we’ve pledged to support the mission to restore vitality to these vital ecosystems with the dedicated team at RRF.

In 2022, TUSA had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Fitzroy Island located in the world-famous Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It’s well-known that coral reefs have been devastated by raising sea temperatures caused by climate change.When dedicated scientists and
conservationists came together with hope for a solution, Reef Restoration Foundation was formed.

TUSA donated gear to RRF in order to help support their mission of restoring coral using innovative technology. Researchers ‘plant’ coral trees underwater and must dive to them to maintain and study the growing coral that will eventually be replanted as healthy coral onto the

original reef it was harvested from. Providing this gear is the least we can do for an amazing initiative that is aligned with our mission to not only keep our oceans healthy, but to actively make it healthier.
